Note: Stamp Amount is 4.9% of the Sale Value. From That we derived the Sales amount. Generally in Surat it has been observed that the dastavej value is 60% lesser then actual sale price. Thus we added that numbers.
Ok, so if you take the average it comes to around 2,700 Cr / month transactions.
Now there might be around around 5% of transaction which are not registered due to various issue in Dastavej. Thus we can consider such transactions worth 135 Crore.
There are some huge number of investors in Surat who might book the properties but before they do Dastavej, its sold to new buyer. Assume such transactions are 7%. Thus we add 190 Cr more in this tally.
Thus roughly speaking 36,000 Cr ($72,000 Million) worth of real estate transactions were done in the year 2011 in Surat.
